ABOUT SAS

The Saudi Arabian section (SAS) of American Society of Non-Destructive Testing was founded on 1999. Since then the section was founded in order to promote the discipline of NDT as a profession, provide a forum for exchange of NDT technical information through educational materials and programs, and facilitate standards and services for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel. SAS has established four successful regional conferences on NDT in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The SAS section is the most active section with the highest standing among the worldwide NDT community.

MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN (ASNT - SAS)

I would like to welcome you, the Saudi Arabian Section (SAS) members and the NDT Professionals, to end of another successful calendar year of our section. We, the SAS Officers and Board Members, would like to thank you all for the trust you have put in us to continue the success of the Section. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members and Officers who helped our Section to gain the GOLDEN position of the President’s Award of ASNT. Next year, we will be working hard to be recognized as the most active and distinguished section, but we can only achieve this with your continued support and encouragement.
Programs for this year and next year include facilitating local ASNT Level III examinations, extending the NDT awareness of our local educational institutions, organizing our Sixth Middle East NDT Conference and Exhibition in Bahrain in October 2012, provision of multiple educational courses, monthly technical dinner meetings with a wide variety of topics and expert speakers, and finally providing the availability of ASNT publications at cost.
The ASNT-SAS Officers assure you that we will serve the NDT community to the best of our abilities. We would also like to hear any ideas from you to advance this section in to the future.
